"Clarence in the Streets: Oakland" is an extraordinary collaboration between Clarence, Santana Bellas, and a talented lineup of musical artists, including Danny Winter, ODIE x YAQOB (UNITÉ), XHJYL, and a DJ set by DJ Rawfeek. This dynamic project aims to breathe new life into Oakland's culture through a vibrant fusion of art, music, and community engagement.

Through Santana Bellas' captivating film photography, the Oakland edition of the series showcases the city's diverse environments, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in its unique landscapes. The photographs feature the captivating "blue people," representing the resilient inhabitants of Oakland who find joy and vitality in overlooked or neglected areas. They infuse these spaces with the same energy and vibrancy as the iconic landmarks that define the city.
This project serves as a powerful testament to the moments that gentrification often erases. The profit-driven structures of our cities prioritize capitalism, burdening communities in the process. "Clarence in the Streets: Oakland" seeks to reclaim the importance of these overlooked moments, celebrating the resilience and spirit of Oakland's residents.

By combining visual art with live musical performances, this project sparks conversations about the impact of gentrification and the value of community. It shines a light on the often-neglected aspects of urban spaces and the vibrant individuals who call them home. Join us in celebrating Oakland's culture, revitalizing its spirit, and creating a platform for dialogue and change.
